Ingredients
  • 350g white flour
  • 1tsp salt
  • 1tsp sugar
  • 1 1/2tsp dry yeast
  • 2tbsp melted butter
  • 1dl water
  • 1/2dl milk
  • 75g natural greek yogurt
  • 2tbsp melted butter
  • 1 pressed garlic clove
How To
  • 1
    For the dough:
Mix flour, salt, sugar and yeast together in a medium sized bowl. Separately, mix the melted butter, water, yogurt and milk. Then, add the mixture to the flour and knead into a smooth dough. Cover and leave to rise at room temperature for approx. 1 1/2 hours.
  • 2
    To shape the naan:
Divide the dough into 8 equally sized portions. Form into balls. Put some flour onto the surface you are rolling out the dough so it will not stick. Roll each ball into a oval shape of approx. 0.5cm thickness. Make sure the edges are a little thicker. Preheat oven to 60 degrees.
  • 3
    To bake the naan:
Mix butter and garlic. Cook the flatbreads next to each other in a non-sticky frying pan for approx. 3 mins each until bubbles appear on the surface. Turn the naans and cook for another 2 mins. Take them out of the pan and brush them with garlic butter. To keep them warm, leave them in the preheated oven.
