To give you a clearer idea of how these different types of visas work, here is an example from one of our candidates who studied in Spain and is looking forward to get a work permit in a short amount of time. This example will illustrate how we can help you go to Spain to do an internship and if necessary even how we can help you extend your stay there.

After working for 12 months, I was able to receive my Bachelor’s Degree and decided that I wanted to obtain the Spanish residency. I therefore had to stay at least another 2 years in Spain. For this reason I decided to do an MBA at Hospitality Academy in Barcelona. During these two years I am studying while doing an internship at the same time to gain more practical experience. Currently I am working in the front office department until mid February until I will be transferred to another department for six months. This cross-departmental management internship gives me more insight into the daily operations of a hotel and how the different departments work together.

I am planning to apply for the Spanish residency as early as possible – meaning in February 2022 when my 2 year MBA program ends. Upon receiving this diploma I will furthermore have greater chances in finding a good position within a hotel to continue my career path in the hotel industry. I hope to one day be a Rooms Division Director of a renowned hotel.

After graduating from my Master’s degree in Business Tourism and Events I decided that I wanted to find a job in Spain and work there for a few years. As I did not have a job offer at the time of graduation and was about to lose my student visa as I had graduated, I applied for the Job Search Visa. This visa allows me to stay in Spain for 12 months in order to find a job. Unfortunately, I haven’t found anything to date but I am optimistic that until July 2021 I will have found a job related to my studies.
