Are you not sure if you are eligible for the Repeat J1 because you have recently graduated and are not a student anymore? We have the solution for you! Placement International and Hospitality Academy have partnered together to create a Training Program to give you the opportunity to do a Repeat J1.
In this 12-month course you will learn about the back-end operations of a hotel (e.g. Warehouse Management, Housekeeping) and how these departments coordinate and work with each other as well as what role they play in the overall daily hotel operations. Additionally, you will also have the opportunity to do a J1 Training Program in the USA.
In this 12-month course you will get to know the commercial side of events as well as all the steps toward organizing an event and how to effectively communicate with guests for maximum customer service. Additionally, you will learn how to prepare your own cocktails and acquire essential bartending skills. Eventually, you will have the opportunity to do a J1 Training Program in the USA.
This 12-month course will provide you with the culinary fundamentals you need to understand the daily processes (e.g. quality and sanitary hygienic ISO approved standards) within a kitchen. Additionally, you will learn about the different kitchen equipments as well as the fire safety protocol. You will also have the opportunity to do a J1 Training Program in the USA.
Nikita Conwi: After finishing her Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a Major in Marketing Management at the Enderun College in the Philippines, Nikita wanted to go to the USA to work as a VIP Coordinator at The Edition Miami. Her goal was to be a General Manager of a renowned hotel one day, so gaining more experience abroad in the USA was the first step toward realizing her goal. She went to the USA with the J1 Visa Program and stayed there for nearly 2.5 years by doing a Repeat J1 Program after one year of working there. In July 2015 I finished my high school diploma. I did not know what to study yet so I decided to do a gap year where I was working for the first 6 months at a café in my city before travelling through South – and Central America for 6 months.
July, 2016
After my gap year I decided to work another year as a waitress at a restaurant in my city before starting my Bachelor’s in International Relations in Kraków.
September, 2017
I started my Bachelor’s in September 2017 and graduated in June 2020. At that time I knew I wanted to go to the USA to work and travel before finding a job back home in Poland related to my studies.
Août 2020
I learned about Hospitality Academy from a friend and new this was my chance to go and work and study abroad. Even though I did not study hospitality previously I could apply for the J1 Program by signing up to one of their online courses. I started my position at The Ritz Carlton in mid November and am currently working as a Rooms Division Trainee. I could not have made a better decision!

August, 2019
I decided to go and work in a hotel in the USA with the J1 Program. After 12 months, my J1 Visa expired and I had to return to Colombia where I had to think of the next career steps I should take. I wanted to go back to the USA to work so I was looking for options how to do the Repeat J1 Visa.

I heared about Hospitality Academy through a friend and knew this was my opportunity to apply for the Repeat J1. I started one of their courses and after having started my online diploma I was eligible to apply for the Repeat J1. I got accepted and shortly after this, Hospitality Academy helped me find a job as a Front Desk Supervisor at The Edition in Miami.

In October I could move back to the USA. I started my position at The Edition Miami in mid October and am currently working as a Front Desk Supervisor in the Rooms Department. I am enjoying every moment of my experience abroad!
