Hawaii is perhaps the most exotic of states, conjuring up images of sunny beaches, fantastic surf spots and incredible views of nature. Formed by volcanic activity, it is a popular destination for tourists from all over the world.
Maui is the most popular of the Hawaiian Islands and is home to not only immaculate beaches but also all kinds of natural wonders. You can either go horseback riding or take a drive to explore the terrain. For example, a road trip along Hana Highway is a great way to see both the mountains and the beaches.
You can also visit Haleakala National Park and take photos of its famous dormant volcano. If you love the water, you will never run out of opportunities for snorkeling, surfing, whale watching and even swimming with the turtles. Taking a break on this island means lounging on the sand with a refreshing drink.
If you are interested in learning more about the rich history of Hawaii, specifically Maui, you can visit a number of museums, such as the Whalers Village Museum. Iao Valley State Park is also a great place to visit if you want to learn more about the Battle of Kepaniwai. On the other hand, you can get a dose of local art and culture at Maui Arts and Cultural Center.
With all that said, it’s not surprising if you think of Hawaii as an island paradise where you’d love to live for a few months. This may seem like wishful thinking, but it’s actually a very real possibility.
