We know that strawberries and basil might sound a bit too experimental for the average Joe, however, we urge you to try this one! It is a fantastic combination and requires little to no effort to prepare. This cocktail will most definitely convince you of trying new things out, so why not serve it to your partner?

  • 1/2dl water
  • 50g sugar
  • 1/2 bunch thai basil
  • 200g strawberries
    cut into pieces
  • 1tbsp sugar
  • 2tbsp lime juice
  • 4 thai basil leaves
  • 1dl gin
  • 3dl mineral water
  • 4 sliced strawberries
  • 4 springs thai basil
How To
  • 1
    For the basil syrup:
    Boil the water and sugar together in a small pan. Reduce the heat and add the thai basil. Simmer for approx. 5 mins before leaving to cool and eventually strained.

    Strawberry puree:
    Put strawberries and sugar in a blender and leave the strawberries to absorb the sugar for about 10 mins. Add the lime juice and basil leaves and puree.

    For the cocktail:
    Pour the strawberry puree and gin into 4 glasses (approx. 200ml each). Add 1tbsp of syrup to each glass, mix and top up with the mineral water. Decorate the cocktail with the thai basil and the set-aside strawberries. Et voilà, there you have your strawberry basil cocktail!
